    Account & Data Deletion

    Last updated: August 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your EasyCoParenting account and associated data, what gets deleted, what is retained, and for how long.

    How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your account in one of two ways:

    • In the app: Open EasyCoParenting, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, type “DELETE” to confirm, and enter your password.
    • By email: If you no longer have access to the app, email support@avenirventures.ca from the address associated with your account and request account deletion. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

If you are the only admin of a family, you will need to transfer ownership or add another admin to that family before your account can be deleted, so that other family members retain access to shared data.

    30-day grace period

Once a deletion request is confirmed, your account is scheduled for deletion with a 30-day grace period. You can cancel the deletion by signing back in at any point within those 30 days. After 30 days, your account and associated personal data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

    What gets deleted

    • Your profile and account settings
    • Messages you sent
    • Expense records you created
    • Documents you uploaded
    • Calendar events you created
    • Notification preferences

    What is retained, and why

    • Shared family data that other family members rely on (e.g., a co-parent's copy of shared events, messages, or expenses) remains available to them, since it is jointly owned data within a shared family account.
    • Court-ready exports already generated before deletion are retained, as they may already be in use for legal purposes.
    • Anonymized activity logs are retained for security, fraud-prevention, and product-improvement purposes; these are stripped of information that identifies you.
    • Information we are legally required to keep (e.g., billing records for tax purposes) is retained only as long as required by law, then deleted.
